can’t take my eyes off of you

she likes the iPad.

DSCN7309

a bit too much, if you ask me.

DSCN7284

she can’t take her eyes/hands off it.

DSCN7325

kahit antok na, gow pa rin.

DSCN7517

she get’s access to daddy k’s iPad at home only in the evening and during weekends. what does she do with it? play with the kiddie apps i installed (fisher price, talking tom, etc.), open you tube videos to watch the phonic song 2 and twinkle twinkle little star (her current favorites), and play angry birds!

she’ll grab your hand/finger and ask you to play with her/make pindot as well, like this.

DSCN7702

haaaaay anak. awat na. di makapag-facebook si mama. πŸ˜€

but seriously, i try to limit her playing time as her day tends to gravitate towards this gadget. we have to keep it out of sight or else she’d cry buckets over it.

good friends are like wine indeed!

we recently reunited with kit’s barkada (the ninong/ninangs of kirsten) over lunch at don henrico’s greenhills (we love don henrico’s! but the last time we went there to eat Β was 3 years ago, the one along brickroad).

DSCN7761v1

so cute, noh? πŸ™‚ we’re all in our 30s, and our kids are almost of the same age. the couple on the left has a 2 month old little girl, and the boys are 3 and 7 years old. the couple in the middle is holding their 2 year old (who was the reason why we got together, he was celebrating his birthday). and ours is 1.5 years old.

we may not see each other regularly as we live cities or countries apart, but the friendship doesn’t change. we’re always here for each other.

life is good! πŸ™‚

a post-valentine concert: gangnam style in manila, 16 february 2013

if you read my earlier post, i shared that i scored tickets (VIP seats!) to spy’s gangnam style concert in manila last 16 feb. i was actually surprised to receive a text message from mccormick as i only sent 1 entry to this particular contest. lucky lucky lucky! πŸ™‚

we started the evening with dinner at aristocrat in MOA. it was a huge letdown! will not go into details anymore, all i can say is that after years of patronizing that resto, now lang kami nanayang that we spent almost Php800+ for bland, tasteless food. 😦

DSCN7977

the concert started at almost 9:30 pm (after a DJ played music on stage) with ai ai de las alas singing some songs and shaking her booty. enough said. di masyadong binili ang mga antics nya onstage. she was trying not to be so bastos since there were a lot of kids in the audience. we appreciated the effort. but her performance was not smoothly sequenced (if there is such a word!), parang walang program. basta lang makakanta/sayaw, then biglang nawala sa stage. pumasok na yung wally and jose.

i don’t have a photo of these two guys. they cracked up the crowd more than ai ai did, pero mas bastos e. then biglang nawala din sa stage.

DSCN8002

there was an intermission of about 10-15 minutes (they showed the sponsors on the TV sets and played tehcno/house/whatever-you-call-it music). then there was psy.

DSCN8015

he literally brought the house down. MOA arena was, i think, 80% full.

DSCN8030

psy’s english wasn’t all that bad, actually! he connected well with the crowd, way better than the first 3Β pinoy performers.

ever wondered how he looked like without those glasses? lookie here. πŸ˜€

DSCN8037Β DSCN8035

he asked the crowd to match his energy, and they (we) really did! everyone stood up and danced when he asked them to.

he sang 4 songs and the cult hit gangnam style (twice).

DSCN8062Β DSCN8051

encore – of course, gangnam style ulit!

DSCN8047

music is indeed universal – we didn’t understand the lyrics but we sang and danced to every beat.

a shot of the crowd exiting MOA arena. OPPA! πŸ™‚

valentine’s day 2013

as usual, my k never fails to surprise me. πŸ™‚

vday4

hecalled to ask how i was, saying he is leaving the house for his office. turns out he was already outside our office door, and can even hear my voice while i was completely clueless. sigh!

he even brought the ladies a rose each! so sweet, noh? πŸ™‚

actually, we started early that day when daddy brought out a heart-shaped cake with a candle for miss k to blow. and she actually did! proud mama!

Vday at home

that evening, we had a yummy dinner at silantro.

Vday at Silantro

i must say though that every day is valentine’s day with my 2 Ks! thank you, daddy k, for always telling us and making us feel your love! i love you and k super much! πŸ™‚

k and i walk /jog around kapitolyo during weekends and would see this resto just beside the church (which is currently being renovated). i haven’t heard of any reviews about it so we have been putting off eating there. until my new friend bella Β recommended it in one of her FB posts, we decided to try it. and we were not disappointed.

of course, kasama si kulit! πŸ™‚

Image

Image

the resto space was small, about 6 tables for 4 inside and3-4 more tables al fresco.

Image

Image

we ordered the burrito (i had mine sliced into two.) note: if there is just the two of you and you are ordering more than 3 entrees, share one burrito. πŸ™‚ and the guacamole was yummy and refillable at that!

Image

their not-so spicy caliente wings.

Image

cheese and chicken quesadillas. i wasn’t so happy about this, na-overwhelm yata ako sa dami ng inorder namin heehee will order this again next time.

Image

beef nachos. this was our absolute favorite! crunchy tortilla chips, generous shower of salsa, guacamole, and cheese.

Image

miss k loved the rice inside the burrito, she ate almost all of it from my burrito heehee daddy k was so happy with this find that he wanted to go back the next night. wag naman, sabi ko.

we went back there 2 weeks after this (on valentine’s day!), and tried their lucho tacos. yum-o! that night, the place was packed with young couples with their toddlers. not kidding! there were like 4-5 toddlers all around, one even younger than our miss k! πŸ™‚

service was fast, and the servers were very friendly, too! we will definitely be back soon!
