miss k’s graduation from summer school

after a month of going to “school” from 9am to 10:30 am everyday, it was finally time to graduate and reap the fruits of her labor. πŸ™‚

here we were, mighty proud and happy that she finished the program without a single complaint.

this little girl went to her classes, participated in the activities, learned different songs and dances, and greatly improved her social skills.

kahit na iisa lang ang classmate nya. πŸ˜€

she got a lot of ribbons from teacher jessa,

so daddy k and i took turns

in pinning them to her dress.

she allowed us to pin just half of the ribbons though, matatakpan daw kasi yung damit nya if we pin all 6. πŸ˜›

the parents were asked to say a few words to their graduating child, but daddy k’s short speech focused more on thanking the teacher/s for their passion in teaching 2 active and, most of the time easily distracted toddlers. teacher was very touched by the message. πŸ™‚

miss k was most friendly, most thoughtful, most kind, most caring, most persevering, and most behaved. πŸ™‚ her teacher praised her for participating in the activities despite being the youngest in class, and for always helping out to pack away after each class.

we had a merienda after this graduation, and my contribution were oreo cupcakes. i couldn’t take a photo with all the cupcakes as students from the other classes already took some as soon as i set up the tower. πŸ™‚

they also had a mini-swimming party after at the back of the school, which both toddlers really enjoyed. they’re so cute! ate kyra, her other classmate, is 3 years old. πŸ™‚Β DSCN2238v1

we enrolled k in this class so she has other things to do beside staying at home all the time. and so she can socialize with other people besides us. and we were extremely happy with the end results! Β see below things that she learned from this program:

– she knows action songs to these songs:
if you’re happy and you know it
smile and say hello everywhere you go/spread a little sunshine, spread a little joy/to every man and woman, to every girl and boy
little sunny water
eency weency spider
– she can hold a pencil/pen better, with improved control
– she greets everyone hi, hello, bye bye, says thank you (kuu!), sorry (soyeee!), please (peeesss!), good morning (maaning!)
– she is always willing to help and pack away toys, etc.

we’re so proud of you, our dear little k! can’t wait to find another suitable class for you to try soon. πŸ™‚
